Speaker Bios:
Carlyn Cowen (they/them/siya) is an advocate, activist, and Filipinx-American dedicated to building social, racial, and economic justice through radical systemic change. They have nearly two decades of experience organizing, working in community based social services, working on health and economic justice campaigns, and bartending.
David Schwedes is a nurse experienced in both emergency and critical care medicine, who has developed his skills as a street medic during political actions starting with the marches in protest of the murder of George Floyd in 2020.
